Consumer Insights, Palette Strategy

IDEO + Brooks Running

Collaborated with IDEO to develop a new apparel line for Brooks Running, deep diving into consumer mindsets around their running wardrobes and color preferences. Using the insights I created a palette strategy for the PureProject Collection that still spoke to Brooks' core consumers but elevated the brand in the running market.

Brief 

During this highly collaborative project, Brooks and IDEO designed in public with runners, and in the places they run. We filmed and photographed runners along the way to capture the story, prototyping and testing ideas as we went. The ultimate goal of this project was to create a story and a direction for Brooks PureProject apparel that only Brooks can deliver. 

Design Direction 

Using the insights applied to both color strategy, palette and print creation, we built sophisticated and minimal running apparel for on and off the run that fits seamlessly into your life, incorporating silent and purposeful features that reveal themselves on the run, so the runner can completely embrace the journey, wherever it takes them
